City of Redding

City of Redding Airports Manager Jim Wadleigh talks about how airport operations work here in Redding and ongoing efforts to secure more flights to additional locations.

Jim is fairly new to Redding but has a wealth of knowledge about airports and flying and has big ideas for growth and change.  He comes with an impressive resume from working on the tarmac for Continental on small aircraft to joining the marines and passing his air traffic control test with flying colors. He has a background in Aviation Management and led key growth and development efforts at three municipal Bay Area airports before moving to Redding.

Also, if you hadn't heard already, the direct flight to LAX is resuming in March!  Jim talks about this flight service and why it has been successful.
