Tuesday night's meeting was a big one! There was plenty of discussion around some important topics in the community including. Here's the rundown:
- Additional lots were sold at the Stillwater Business Park.
- A consulting firm was hired to assist with the 2-year effort to modernize the financial software that tracks and manages city costs and personnel.
- Funding sources for the upcoming Downtown Plaza Park were identified.
- The City of Redding's GIS team discussed new mapping solutions with evacuation routes and new neighborhood zones.
- The formation of a Tree Ordinance Committee was approved by Council to find a balance between sustainable development and the need to protect native tree species.
- Redding City Council approved new Nur Pon Open Space hours, fencing and park rangers.
- A Short Term Rental Emergency Moratorium was passed to allow for processes and regulations to be evaluated before additional short-term rentals can be permitted in Redding.
